Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District's fitness program strives to positively impact our community and surrounding areas by providing the highest quality experience through safe, effective and fun fitness programming.
We offer a variety of exercise options to meet your fitness needs. Challenge yourself with any of our many group fitness classes tailored to all fitness levels. We offer state-of-the-art treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, stationary bikes and more in our cardio area. Work out in our weight room, circuit machine area or outdoor fitness area (weather permitting). We have many options whether you're looking for weight training, athletic and cardiovascular training or a personalized program with one of our nationally accredited personal trainers.

NEW! Les Mills HEAVY
Unlike the original Les Mills BODYPUMP, which focuses on higher repetitions with lighter weights, HEAVY uses longer recovery periods to focus on technique and lifting heavier loads with more foundational lifts like squats, deadlifts and presses. It is designed to be more accessible than tradiional free-weight lifting, with expert coaching and iconic music driving the workout!

Teen Weightlifting
This 5-week program will teach youth ages 13-17 the proper technique of weightlifting to ensure correct form and avoid injuries under the supervision and guidance of a nationally certified personal trainer. The benefits of teen weight training include muscle growth and strength, improved athletic performance, increased metabolism and improved body composition.
Note: Completing one Teen Weightlifting session will count as a Junior Trainers session and allow for 13–14-year-olds to work out in weight room, cardio room, circuit room or outdoor fitness. Youth 13-14 must wear Junior Trainers wrist band at all times in these areas while working out.

Burn the Bird!
Join us for two hours of calorie crushing fun while working out to some of CVPRD's most popular classes. Mini sessions of each class with minimal transition time to the next class for the ultimate post-Thanksgiving challenge!

Holiday Youth Sports Conditioning
No matter what their sport, all young athletes will need some combination of functional training, agility, all over strength building, range of motion exercises, and cardiovascular training. This special 2-session program will focus on form and technique and help athletes avoid injury and play at their highest level.
