  • Work 32 hours, get paid for 40—full‑time employees receive 8 hours of District‑paid time each week to support balance and well‑being.

    • PERAChoice Participation
      All employees who are paid through District payroll are eligible and automatically enrolled in PERA. Participants can choose between two types of plans: a Defined Benefit (DB) and a Defined Contribution (DC) Plan. PERA benefits are governed through the state of Colorado and administered by Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District. Employees can contact PERA at any time to discuss their retirement accounts and options available to them. 
    • All employees may participate in the Deferred Compensation 401(k) Plan worded in accordance with PERA. This plan is voluntary and by election only.  Paperwork must be submitted to the Finance Department. Contact PERA for more information.
