It may be winter in Carbon Valley, but things are heating up at Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District as we kick off 2026. January is packed with important registration deadlines, upcoming events, activities, and updates you won’t want to miss.

Whether you’re planning ahead for your family, looking for ways to stay active during the colder months, or simply want to stay in the know, this edition is your go-to guide for what’s happening across the District. Grab those calendars and a pen because it's time to settle in and explore what’s ahead- we’re starting the year with momentum, and we’re glad you’re part of it.

Current Registrations:

  • Family Dance- Save the date Feb 7! Registration closes 2/2/26
  • January Snapology: Registration closes 1/15/26
  • Kids Night at the Rec: Registration closes 1/21/26
  • Youth Spring Sports: Soccer. Softball. Volleyball. Registration closes 2/2/26 Coaches needed!!
  • Women's Weight Training: Build confidence and strength with proper form. Jan 21, 28 6-7:30pm

New  Offerings:

  • Aqua Stretch Therapy- This one-on-one therapy in the pool and offers a range of health benefits from pain relief, improved mobility, restoring flexibility, balance and coordination, muscle relaxation, athletic conditioning and more!
