Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Program Details

We are no longer accepting new requests for private or semi-private swim lessons.

Private & semi-private swim lessons are changing!

We’re transitioning to a new model in order to improve access, reduce wait times, and make scheduling more predictable for families.

Families will now register for private & semi-private swim lessons through CivicRec by selecting a specific session and time online, or in person, just like group lessons.

Registration for private & semi-private lessons following this new model will open June 29th.

Private and semi-private lessons will now run alongside our group lessons at set times:

  • Monday/Wednesday mornings (summer only)
  • Tuesday/Thursday evenings
  • Saturday mornings

  • Prices shown at registration reflect an entire session.

When you arrive for your lesson, you may head straight into the pool where you will check in with the swim lessons coordinator on the pool deck!

Makeups

With approval from the Aquatics Coordinator, families enrolled in private or semi‑private swim lessons may arrange one (1) make‑up lesson per session with their assigned instructor.

Make‑up lesson guidelines:

  • The make‑up lesson must take place outside of normally scheduled swim lesson times.
  • The date and time must work for both the family and the instructor.
  • Approval from the Aquatics Coordinator is required prior to scheduling any make‑up lesson.

How to obtain approval:

  • If the Aquatics Coordinator is present on deck, approval may be granted in person.
  • If the Aquatics Coordinator is not available on deck, approval must be obtained via email or phone.

Make‑up lessons are not guaranteed and are dependent on instructor availability and coordinator approval.

If neither the family or instructor are available for a make-up lesson, limited refunds may be requested for missed classes under the following guidelines:

  • 4‑class sessions: Families may request a refund for up to one (1) missed class
  • 8‑class sessions: Families may request a refund for up to two (2) missed classes

Please see below for more information about refunds.
