August 2026-Karen Dittman

Fitness has been part of my life since childhood. I grew up taking dance lessons and, as a teenager in the 1980s, joined aerobics classes with my mom. I’ve always loved group fitness, especially classes that combine great music, movement, and fun.
Like many parents, I spent years focused on raising my children and put my own fitness goals on hold. But when I became pregnant in my mid-40s, I found new motivation to prioritize my health for the long term. Looking for an effective workout that didn’t require a lot of equipment or time, I discovered PiYO. It quickly became a favorite, helping me build strength, flexibility, and endurance. When my local rec center offered PiYO LIVE, I jumped in and soon found myself in the best shape I’d been in for over 20 years.
Becoming a fitness instructor had always been a dream, so I took the leap and earned my PiYO LIVE certification, followed by yoga instructor training. Today, teaching feels like exactly what I was meant to do. It allows me to combine my love of dance, movement, and connecting with people while helping others improve their health and well-being.
I also enjoy teaching staff meditation to our CVPRD staff once a month, as this fills my cup and helps support our staff on their wellness journey. I believe true wellness includes caring for our minds, hearts, and bodies, and I’m passionate about helping others thrive in all areas of life.
