A variety of drop-in programs and classes are offered at the Carbon Valley Active Adults & Community Center for adults age 55 and older.

Monthly Classes, Programs & Presentations
A six week class designed to reduce the fear of falling, stop the fear of falling cycle and increase activity levels. The program focuses on practical coping strategies using a variety of activities that address physical, social, and cognitive factors affecting the fear of falling. Class meets weekly.

Join us for the next exciting installment in our community series, where we invite you to show off your talents and connect with others who share your interests. We're building interest groups and clubs around the incredible skills and hobbies our community members have to offer. Whether you're into photography, fishing, hiking, knitting or crocheting, painting, music, books, or film, this is your chance to shine or to discover something new! Have a talent or hobby to share? Bring it in! Just curious? Come see what others are showcasing, you might find your next passion! Registration isn’t required, but if you plan to bring something to share, we suggest signing up in advance so we have time for all. We can't wait to see what you'll bring!

CVPRD and the High Plains Library District Outreach team have partnered to bring a little bit of the Library to you! Library lobby stops will occur the first and third Tuesday of each month. Librarians will bring books, help you reserve books, recommend books and more. Stop by the Community Center to learn more about this program.

Join us for highlights of our Active Adult programming and a guided tour of the Rec Center. Learn about the benefits of your SilverSneakers or Renew Active/One Pass membership along with fitness classes offered. Ever wondered how beads come together to create beautiful jewelry and art? Join fellow older adults as volunteer Barb guides you through the basics of beading. All supplies are provided - feel free to bring your own if you'd like. Registration suggested, not required.

A wonderful way to get a tough job finished! In a single, easy and enjoyable session, you'll complete a will, living will, medical power of attorney, financial power of attorney and more, all with the help of licensed attorney, Rebecca L. Bennetti and her staff. Couples must register separately.
