Active Adult Day Trips
Carbon Valley Active Adults (age 55 and older) are always on the go! Join us for trips to exciting destinations around Colorado and beyond. Register in advance for your next adventure. Each trip description includes an exertion level number. This is a generalization of the exertion levels that participants can expect on a trip.

Upcoming Trips & Events
Get outdoors with other Active Adults. Join our outdoor walking group. Community member, Glenn, leads the pack and the group walks around the area at whatever your pace might be. Walking group departs from the CVPRD Community Center. Great for beginners or experienced daily walkers. Grab a cup of coffee after with the group. Registration in advance suggested not required.

We make the reservation, you meet for good eats and laughter with friends at The Merc in Mead. Serving breakfast, Sandwiches such as Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, burritos- handheld & smothered, Reuben, Roast Beef, Philly, Pastrami, Italian, Club, Coffees, Lattes, Charlie Joe Chai, Tea, Infusions, and more. Located at 4340 CO-66 (Highway 66 and County Rd 9.5) Registration in advance required. Dining cost not included.

Join us for a scenic high-elevation getaway to Estes Park and Sprague Lake to enjoy Colorado’s stunning fall colors. We’ll take a gentle 0.8-mile walk around the lake, surrounded by golden aspens, evergreens, and mountain views. At 8,700 feet, it’s a peaceful and picturesque spot to experience the magic of autumn in Colorado. Dress in layers and bring water and a sack lunch to enjoy. Registration in advance required.

Step back in time with a charming ride on the Fort Collins Trolley, one of the city’s historic streetcars restored to its original 1900s style. This scenic ride runs along Mountain Avenue, offering a fun and nostalgic way to explore the heart of Old Town. Registration in advance required. $1 ride fare for trolley ride not included in registration price.

Hop on the lunch bunch bus to Yorkshire Fish & Chips in Denver. Yorkshire has been offering authentic English fish and chips, using the finest seafood and their trademark batter, which has been made from scratch daily since 1971. Come hungry and you will leave happy. Registration in advance required. Dining cost not included.

Feeling lucky? Try your luck at Bally’s Casino in Blackhawk. The bus departs from, and returns to the Community Center. Fee includes transportation only. Dining and gambling not included. $10 players card credit given by Bally’s for all advanced registrants. See Community Center Representative for further details of credit earnings. Players Club card required for credits and can be obtained at the Casino. Registration in advance required by September 24, 2025. Cancellations made after this date are non-refundable.

Giraffes strut. Birds swoop. Gazelles leap. The entire Serengeti comes to life as never before. And as the music soars, Pride Rock slowly emerges from the mist. This is Disney’s THE LION KING, making its triumphant return to the Buell Theatre in Denver. Dine as a group prior to the theatre show. Show starts at 7:30 pm.
