Active Adult Day Trips
Carbon Valley Active Adults (age 55 and older) are always on the go! Join us for trips to exciting destinations around Colorado and beyond. Register in advance for your next adventure. Make your reservations by calling the Carbon Valley Active Adults and Community Center at 303-833-3660 ext. 123, online, or stop by to see us.
Each trip description includes an exertion level number. This is a generalization of the exertion levels that participants can expect on a trip.

Upcoming Trips & Events
Get outdoors with other Active Adults and join our outdoor walking group. Volunteer Glenn leads and the group walks around the area departing from the Community Center. Great for beginners or experienced daily walkers. No one walks alone! Grab a cup of coffee after the walk with the group. (In case of inclement weather, meet at the Rec Center indoor track.)

Feeling lucky? Try your luck at Bally’s Casino in Blackhawk. The bus departs from, and returns to the Community Center. Fee includes transportation only. Dining and gambling not included. $10 players card credit given by Bally’s for all advance registrants. See Community Center Representative for further details of credit earnings. Players Club card required for credits and can be obtained at the Casino. Registration in advance required by March 25, 2026. Cancellations made after this date are non-refundable.

Discover the wonders of Earth and atmopheric science on a guided tour of the NCAR Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado. Led by knowledgeable and engaging guides, this tour takes visitors behind the scenes of one of the world's leading research centers for climate, weather, and atmospheric studies. Enjoy lunch at the cafe or bring your own sack lunch to enjoy. Registration in advance required.

Take me out to the ball game! Join us for a relaxing outing to Coors Field complete with beautiful mountain views, an easygoing ballpark atmophere, and plenty of time to enjoy the game with friends. It's the perfect way to share a memorable day together in one of baseballs most scenic stadiums. Registration includes transportation and game ticket. Registration in advance required.

Denver Botanic Gardens at York Street presents a wide range of gardens and collections. The gardens reflect an ever-widening diversity of plants from all corners of the world. Registration includes transportation. The gardens are outdoors, please dress accordingly for the weather. Registration in advance required by April 20, 2026.
