Each trip description includes an exertion level number. This is a generalization of the exertion levels that participants can expect on a trip.

LINNER BUS - MOONLIGHT DINER

It‘s not lunch, it‘s not dinner, it‘s in between so we call it “LINNER“! Hop on the CVPRD Bus and head to the Moonlight Diner in Denver where you will take a trip back to simpler times where Doo-Wop music was king and the milkshake ruled the world! The extensive menu has everything that you could ever ask for in a diner. From breakfast all day with to die for pancakes, to classic diner food like liver & onions, to slow smoked BBQ served with pit beans. Registration in advance required. Transportation included, dining cost not included.

OUTDOOR WALKING GROUP

Get outdoors with other Active Adults. Join our outdoor walking group. Community member Glenn leads the pack and the group walks around the area at whatever your pace might be. Walking group departs from the CVPRD Community Center. Great for beginners or experienced daily walkers. Grab a cup of coffee after with the group. Registration in advance suggested not required.

MEET ME AT THE MOVIES - "FLY ME TO THE MOON"

Meet other Active Adults for a late afternoon showing of “Fly Me to the Moon” at Regal Cinemas Village at the Peaks. Sparks fly between a marketing executive and a NASA official as he makes preparations for the Apollo 11 moon landing.” Tickets are purchased in advance by CVPRD and included in registration cost. Transportation and dining not included. Registration in advance required.

CENTENNIAL VILLAGE MUSEUM

Centennial Village Museum is a living history experience that features over 35 historical buildings, costumed interpreters, heritage farm animals, and 8-acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Visitors step back in time and learn about the settling of the western high plains, a time when grand houses, growing businesses, extensive prairies and agriculture were all a part of daily life. Transportation and ticket included in registration. Lunch as a group after the tour. Registration in advance required. Dining costs not included.

Feeling lucky? Try your luck at Bally’s casino in Blackhawk. The bus departs from, and returns to the Community Center. Fee includes transportation only. Dining and gambling not included. $10 players card credit given by Bally’s for all advanced registrants. Registration in advance required.

COLORADO ROCKIES GAME

Take me out to the ball game! Travel to Coors Field to watch the Colorado Rockies take on the New York Mets. Game time is 1:10 pm. The Bus departs the Senior Center at 11:30 am. Fee includes transportation and game ticket. Registration in advance required by July 25, 2024.
