2026 Weld County Rec Scholarships Reception

Big things happen when dedicated people come together for a shared purpose—and this year, that purpose is access to recreation for all. Representatives from Windsor, Mead, Erie, Greeley, Fort Lupton, Platteville, Kersey, Evans, Thompson River, along with partners from Weld Trust and United Way, came together with a shared belief: recreation matters, and access matters even more.

After completing a intensive application process, our finance team successfully secured $3,000 in scholarship funding to support the Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District’s scholarship program.

These funds will directly help families and individuals in our District participate in programs, classes, and activities they might otherwise not be able to afford—creating more opportunities for movement, connection, and joy throughout our community.

Every scholarship awarded is more than financial support—it’s a chance for a child to try something new, for a family to spend time together, and for individuals of all ages to feel welcome and included. If you or someone you know could benefit from CVPRD’s scholarship program, we invite you to learn more on our website cvprd.com/scholarships.

Together, we can continue building a community where everyone has the opportunity to participate, play, and belong!
