SilverSneakers® and Fitness
Tivity Health's SilverSneakers® Fitness program offers physical activity, health education,and social events to help reduce health care costs driven by the physical and mental effects of aging and physician and hospital visits. As a contracted provider, CVPRD offers fitness equipment and signature SilverSneakers® classes which are designed specifically for older adults and taught by certified instructors.

SILVERSNEAKERS® FITNESS AND NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION
Take a guided tour through the recreation center and learn how to use the cardio and weight equipment. Learn about the many benefits of SilverSneakers® membership and the fitness classes offered at CVPRD. Register at the recreation center front desk. Free for members.
Orientations are held on 1st Thursday of each month from 1:30 - 2 pm at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center.
SILVERSNEAKERS® COFFEE AND JUICE BAR
Make new friends and orient yourself with the Carbon Valley Recreation Center. Existing and new SilverSneakers® participants are welcome. Friendly conversation, coffee, juice, fresh fruit, and pastries await you. Come in and start taking advantage of your SilverSneakers® benefits! Free for SilverSneakers® and pass holders. Age: 55+
The SilverSneakers® Coffee and Juice Bar is held on the last Friday of each month from 8 - 11 am at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center.

This workout focuses on cardiovascular endurance. Includes easy to follow low-impact movement and upper body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle.
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SILVERSNEAKERS® ball is alternated with non-impact choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
New to SilverSneakers® or exercising? This is a great place to start! Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers® Stability is designed to help you become stronger and improve balance. The movements taught in class focus on specific exercises to improve strength and power around the ankle, knee and hip joints, while improving reaction time. This class is designed for fall prevention, is suitable for nearly every fitness level and is taught primarily from a standing position. It can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants. A chair may be used for balance and support.

ACTIVE ADULT FITNESS
The gentle moving poses in Tai Chi help build a healthy mind, body and spirit. This low impact class moves through a variety of full-body exercises and leaves you feeling refreshed. Free to SilverSneakers® and CVPRD pass holders.Drop-in class. Age:55+
